If you plan to go to Marina Bay Sands from Changi Airport Terminal 1, here are the different ways you can do so and how much you will approximately be charged for the transport service.
- Complimentary Shuttle Bus Service (Free for in-house hotel guest)
- Taxi (SGD$18.00 to SGD$38.00 for regular taxi)
- MRT (Train) (from SGD$2.00)
- Limousine Taxi or Large Taxi Service (SGD$45.00 for Limousine Taxi, SGD$50.00 for Large Taxi)
- Arrival Pickup
1. Complimentary Shuttle Bus Service
There is a complimentary shuttle bus service running from Terminal 1 Coach Bay to Marina Bay Sands Coach Terminal for in-house hotel guest. Otherwise a fee of SGD$25.00 applies.
(A) Once you step out from Terminal 1 arrival hall, turn left and look out for the following sign.
(B) Follow the sign (turn right) to head towards the Terminal 1 coach bay. Look out for this sign along the way.
(C) Once you exit from Terminal 1, turn left and cross the pedestrian crossing and you shall see the coach bay not far away (see below). Wait for the next arriving bus.
Frequency Of Shuttle Bus Service (24-Hour):
Every 30 minutes from 6:00AM to 10:00PM daily.
Every 1 hour from 10:00PM to 6:00AM next morning daily.
The taxi stand is located nearby to Terminal 1 arrival hall. You will see the “Taxi” sign immediately when you exit (see below).
Follow the sign (turn right) and continue to look for “Taxi” sign that will lead you to the nearest taxi stand. (which taxi stand can I drop off at Marina Bay Sands?)
Basic Fare For A Taxi Ride From The Airport To The City:
For Regular Taxi
Flag-down (inclusive of 1st km): SGD$2.80 – SGD$3.20
Every 385 metres (up to 10 km): SGD$0.20
Every 330 metres (after 10 km): SGD$0.20
Every 45 seconds of waiting time: SGD$0.20
For Chrysler Taxi
Flag-down (inclusive of 1st km): SGD$5.00
Every 385 metres (up to 10 km): SGD$0.30
Every 330 metres (after 10 km): SGD$0.30
Every 45 seconds of waiting time: SGD$0.30
The nearest MRT (train) station is Changi Airport (CG2) station and can be accessed from Terminal 2. If you landed on Terminal 1, the fastest way to get to Terminal 2 is to take the Skytrain service (a free shuttle train service by Changi Airport).
(A) Once you exit from the arrival hall, turn left and look out for the sign “Skytrain to T2″. Ride the escalator up and you will reach the Skytrain station. Wait for the next train to board.
Skytrain Operating Hours:
5:00 AM to 2:30AM next morning (for non-operating hours, you may take the free shuttle bus service at Terminal 1 Departure Hall Door 5 (Row 14) to get to Terminal 2).
(B) Once you reach and exit from Terminal 2 Skytrain station, follow the sign “Terminal 2″.
(C) Next, follow the sign “Train to City” (see below) which will lead you to the train control station. Board the train and you may need to drop off at Bayfront Station (CE1) which is the nearest station to Marina Bay Sands.
4. Limousine Taxi or Large Taxi Service
Limousine taxi (maximum 4 passengers) or large taxi service (maximum 7 passengers) are also available at Terminal 1 if you wish to travel in style or require a taxi with larger capacity. Approach the Ground Transport Desk for booking assistance (can be found easily once you exit from the arrival hall). (which taxi stand can I drop off at Marina Bay Sands?).
Basic Fare For Limousine & Large Taxi Service:
- Mercedez Limousine (to any destination): SGD$45.00
- Space MPV (to any destination): SGD$50.00
- MaxiCab (to any destination): SGD$50.00
If you have someone to pick you up from Terminal 1, proceed to the arrival pickup bay at Basement 1. When you exit from the arrival hall, look out for the sign “Arrival Pickup” (see below) and take the escalator or passenger lift to get to Basement 1.
Public Bus Service:
There is no public bus service that runs directly to the Marina Bay Sands at the moment.
Marina Bay Sands Concierge Counter:
The concierge counter is located directly outside the arrival hall (next to Ground Transport Desk). For any inquiry pertaining to Marina Bay Sands (i.e. general property information, bookings or pre-registration of loyalty program Premier Advantage), you may seek assistance from the friendly concierge staff.
