The nearest MRT station to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is Bayfront station (CE1). Here’s how you can get to Bayfront station from Marina Bay station.



However, if you prefer to get to Marina Bay Sands by foot or public buses from Marina Bay station, this post will explain to you how to do so step by step (with photo illustrations).


1. Before you alight at Marina Bay station (NS27 CE2), look out for this sign to ensure that you have reached the right station.

2. After you alight the train, look out for signs that show you the way out to Exit B.

3. Before you take the escalator up on your left, look out for the sign “Exit B” which indicates “Bus to Marina Bay Sands”.

4. Here’s how Exit B looks like. Make sure that you are exiting from here.

5. Next, heads towards the direction of Marina Station Road, Central Boulevard and Marina Way.

5. Walk straight and along the way, you will see the sign “Bus To Marina Bay Sands”.

6. You will come to a cross traffic junction between Central Boulevard and Marina Way, cross the pedestrian crossing.

7. Once you are at the traffic junction, you have two options to get to Marina Bay Sands.


By Foot

If you decide to walk to Marina Bay Sands by foot, the shortest way to get there is to go by Marina Way, follows by Marina Boulevard and Bayfront Avenue.

Once you have crossed the pedestrian crossing, turn right and cross the traffic light (facing towards Marina Bay Financial Centre). It will be the starting point of Marina Way after you have crossed the road. The duration should be between 45 minutes to 1 hour (depending on your walking speed) for you to reach MBS.

By Public Bus

If you decide to board the public bus to get to Marina Bay Sands, there is a bus stop (bus stop no. 03531) nearby to the traffic junction.

A) Once you have crossed the pedestrian crossing, you may cross either side of the traffic lights (left or right) to get to the bus stop. However, do look out for below sign that shows “Bus to Marina Bay Sands” (pointing to left) when you are the traffic junction and follow the direction of the sign accordingly.

B) Look out for bus stop no. 03531 (before Marina Way). Here’s how it looks like when you are reaching it.

C) Board ANY of the following SBS or SMRT bus service heading towards Marina Bay Sands.

D) You can choose to alight either at bus stop no. 03511 (bus stop outside Sands Expo), or bus stop no. 03501 (bus stop outside Sands Theatre). The duration of the bus journey should not take you more than 15 mins.

    What is the distance from marina bay mrt station to marina bay sky park? Can we go on foot from marina bay mrt station? What mrt station stop I should take if I wanna continue on foot to sky park? Promenade or raffles place or marina bay? Thanx.

    Hello Anne, if you prefer to walk to MBS from Marina Bay station, the distance is rather far. It will take around 30mins to 45 mins. Go by this way, Marina Way => Marina Boulevard => Bayfront Avenue => MBS.

    Hello Ivan, I am not too sure what is the exact distance but if you ask me it should be approximately 1km – 1.5km. Yes, you can walk on foot from Marina Bay station to Skypark. If you prefer to walk to Skypark, I strongly recommend you to take MRT and alight at Bayfront.
