Bayfront Avenue is a road in Singapore that connects the junction between Marina Boulevard and Central Boulevard, to the junction between Raffles Avenue and Temasek Avenue. Along this road resides the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort while it passes through the Bayfront bridge. The road was opened to traffic officially on 25th April 2010.

To get to Marina Bay MRT Station, you need to go by the SMRT North-South Line. Here are the 6 MRT Interchanges you can transfer your train service to reach the North-South Line.

• Raffles Place Station (NS26 EW14)

1. Remember to look out for the sign “Marina Bay” before you alight if you are going to Marina Bay station.

2. Next, look out for the sign “Circle Line” when you are coming down from the escalator.

3. Continue to follow the signs that show you the direction to the Circle Line platform (heading towards the directions of HarbourFront station and Dhoby Ghaut station). An example like below,

4. Once you reach the Circle Line platform, you will see both platform A and B which look similar.

5. Here’s something very important. Do not get confused. Regardless of whether you board the train service on Platform A OR B, you will be able to get to Bayfront station (which is the next stop). Hence, just board any of the train service on any of either platforms will do.

6. Alight immediately at the next stop Bayfront (CE1) station. Remember to look out for the sign “Bayfront” before you alight.

This post will explain to you step by step with photo illustrations how you can transfer your train service at Promenade station to go to Bayfront station (alternatively, you may want to transfer your train service at Marina Bay station instead).

1. Remember to look out for the sign “Promenade” before you alight your train.

2. Next, proceed to Platform B. Make sure that you get to the correct platform. Look out for the sign below.

3. There are 2 different train services that are serving at Platform B. One ending at (8) Dhoby Ghaut and another ending at (10) Marina Bay.

4. If you wish to get to Bayfront station, you need to ensure that you board the service that ends at (10) Marina Bay and NOT (8) Dhoby Ghaut. When the train arrives, this is what you would expect to see on the TV monitor screen.

5. Alight immediately at the next stop Bayfront (CE1) station which takes approximately 6 minutes from Promenade station. Remember to look out for the sign “Bayfront” before you alight.

If you decide to self-park your vehicle outside of Marina Bay Sands (MBS) premises, there is a public carpark (operated by Wilson Parking) located right opposite the entrance of Carpark (South). It is an open space carpark that can be found next to the traffic junction between Central Boulevard and Marina Boulevard. View the map here.

1. How To Drive To The Public Carpark?

A) If you are driving from Marina Boulevard into Bayfront Avenue (heading towards the direction of Raffles Boulevard or Republic Boulevard), get ready to turn left as soon as you see this road sign below. Did you see the public carpark on the left? This stretch of road called Marina Boulevard.

B) Turn left immediately at the traffic junction when you see the road sign below.

C) Once you turned left or if you are driving from Central Boulevard into Bayfront Avenue (heading towards the direction of Raffles Boulevard or Republic Boulevard), you will see the entrance of the public carpark as soon as you enter into Bayfront Avenue at the traffic junction.

D) After you have parked your vehicle, you have to talk a walk (not more than 15 minutes) to MBS.

Sundays and Public Holidays

24 hours: SGD $1.20 per hour

Rates for Motorcycles:

24 hours: SGD $0.50 per hour (per minute charges) capped at a maximum of SGD $5.00

Rates for Coaches:

1. Carpark (South)
2. Carpark (North)

1. Carpark (South) - Located at basement of the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

How To Drive To Carpark (South)?

A) If you drive along Bayfront Avenue heading towards the direction of Marina Bay, look out for the road sign below that indicates “Carpark (South)” and get ready to turn right.

B) Otherwise, if you enter into Bayfront Avenue that heads towards the direction of Raffles Boulevard or Republic Boulevard, look out for the road sign below that indicates “Carpark (South)” and get ready to turn left.

C) Once you turn, you will enter into a small road called “Bayfront Link”.

D) Along Bayfront Link, look out for the road sign showing “Carpark (South)” to turn right into the carpark entrance.

E) After turning right, you will reach the entrance of Carpark (South).

B) Once you turn left, you will reach the entrance of Carpark (North).

Bayfront MRT Station is the nearest station that connects the underground MRT (Mass Rapid Train) to Marina Bay Sands and is an extension to the existing Circle Line operated by SMRT.

1. Promenade (CC4) station and Marina Bay (NS27 CE2) station will be the stations that you need to transfer your train service in order to reach Bayfront (CE1) station.

2. Once you arrive at Bayfront (CE1) station, you can find 5 exits (Exit A to E) that bring you to the different areas of Marina Bay Sands. There are 2 control stations where you can locate these exits easily,

• (A) (E) control station – Exit A and E
• (B) (C) (D) control station – Exit B, C and D

Look out for the sign above to find your right control station to exit.

• Exit A: Bayfront Avenue / Bus Stop 03519 (bus stop opposite Sands Expo)
• Exit B: Sands Hotel / Skypark / Bayfront Avenue / Sheares Link / Bus Stop 03509 (bus stop outside Sands Hotel) / Hotel Tower 1 Taxi Stand

Exit A: Exit from here if you wish to proceed to bus stop 03519 where you can board the public buses that head towards Marina Bay.

From (A) (E) control station, look out for “(A) Bayfront Avenue” sign to turn left. See below.

Follow the next “Exit A” sign to turn right and take the escalator up. See below.

Once exit, you shall see bus stop 03519 which is opposite the Sands Expo. See below.

Exit B: This exit is nearest to the Sands Hotel and bus stop 03509 where you can board public buses that head towards Marina Bay.

From (B) (C) (D) control station, look out for the sign “Bayfront Ave / Sheares Lk (B)” to proceed ahead. See below.

Walk straight and continue to follow the direction. See below.

Take the escalator (next to the ‘B’ sign) up. See below.

Follow below sign again to take the escalator on the left up again. See below.

Once you exit from Exit B, you are only few steps away from the Sands Hotel. See below.

Facing the road, turn left to go to Hotel Tower 1 lobby / Hotel Tower 1 Taxi Stand. See below.

Or turn right to walk towards bus stop 03509. See below.

Exit E: Nearest exit to The Sands Expo, Bus Stop 03511, Sands Expo Taxi Stand

From (A) (E) control station, look out for the sign “Marina Bay Sands-Expo (E)” to turn right. See below.

Once you turn right, you shall see another sign that shows you to walk straight ahead if you are going to the Sands Expo. See below.

Not very far away, there will be an escalator that brings you up. Alternatively, you may choose to take the lift besides it. See below.

Take the next escalator up and you will be out of Exit E. See below.

Once you are out of Exit E, you are near to the Sands Expo. See below.

Facing the road, turn left, walk further down and you will reach the entrance of Sands Expo and the taxi stand. See below.

In front of the entrance will be bus stop 03511 where you can board the public buses that head towards the city. See below.

If you prefer to get to Marina Barrage by taxi, you may flag down one at any of the taxi stands at Marina Bay Sands and alight at the entrance of Marina Barrage. To take a taxi from Marina Barrage back to Marina Bay Sands, it is recommended that you approach the customer service counter at Marina Barrage for dial-a-cab assistance.
