How To Get To The Casino:

• If you are coming from the Marina Bay Sands hotel, look out for the entrance at ground floor that shows “Casino Expo Shoppes”. Continue to follow the signs will lead you there.

• If you are coming by taxi (cab), the nearest drop off point will be the taxi stand outside the Casino (look out for the sign showing “Casino”) where the casino main entrance is.

• If you choose to take public buses, drop off at bus stop no. 03511 (in front of Sands Expo and Convention Center). From the bus stop, you can take a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to reach the casino.

• If you are driving there, you may either drop your passengers off or ask for valet parking at the taxi stand outside the casino (as above), or self park at Carpark South in Sands Expo Basement 1 (nearby to casino). (how do I ask for valet parking or self park my car?)

Apart from the main entrance (taxi stand), there are other casino entrances located at different levels of The Shoppes. You will expect to see a huge sign of “Casino” in both English and Chinese versions.

How Should I Enter The Casino?

If you are a foreigner, bring along and present your foreign passport at the entrance to the staff. Proceed to the “Foreigner” lane at the entry to enter. Foreign passport must come with short term immigration pass or work pass featuring a photo.

Important Rules:

1. If you are below 21 years old, you are not allowed to enter the casino.
2. You are required to purchase at least a daily entry levy to enter the casino if you are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident (otherwise, you are considered a foreigner which you are not needed to)
3. The daily entry levy is only valid for 24 consecutive hours starting from the time of your 1st entry into the casino e.g. if you enter the casino at 2:00PM today, you will allow access up to 1:59PM the next day.
4. Singaporeans and Permanent Residents are required to ENTER or EXIT at the designated “Singaporeans/PR” lane.
5. You are free to enter or exit from the casino as many times as you like, as long as your casino levy is still valid,
6. Casino levy purchased is non-refundable and non-transferable.
7. Casino levy purchased at Marina Bay Sands casino is not valid (cannot be used) at Resorts World Sentosa casino.
8. Please be reminded to dress appropriately with at least smart casual wear. Any form of beach wear i.e. flip flops, slippers or casual short pant is not allowed in the premise.  Sleeveless shirts are also disallowed for men.

Singapore welcomes the second casino on April 27th with the official opening of Marina Bay Sands (MBS) at a locally auspicious time of 3:18PM. The number 8 sounds like prosperity when translated in Chinese.

Due to repeated delays, MBS finally opened its door yesterday which was originally set to open at the end of 2009. The delays are results of several factors including labor and material shortages and financial problems due to global economic downturn. It has been designed to cater for the corporate and convention crowd.

Resort Casino in Marina Bay Sands will be the first Las Vegas style resort casino to be built in Singapore by one of the world’s largest casino campanies, Las Vegas Sands, and is expected to launch in 2009 along the Marina Bay Waterfront.

At the heart of Marina Bay Sands will be the location of the first resort casino in Singapore (see below). In addition to the casino, other key components of the plan are three resort hotel towers with 2,500 rooms, an arts and sciences museum and a convention center capable of accommodating over 52,000 people.

Background Of Marina Bay Sands: The US$3.6 billion project has been awarded to Las Vegas Sands Corp. to build a 6 million sq. ft. integrated resort, which by most estimate will be the most expensive casino resort in the world. It will feature three 50-storey hotel towers, crowned by a two acre Sky Park bridging across the towers, offering 360 degree view of the city and the sea, an iconic Arts and Sciences Museum on the promontory, 1-million square feet of integrated waterside promenade and shopping arcade, a state-of-the art 1-million square foot convention center, two 2,000-seat theaters; a resort casino; and a 4,000 car garage. The casino in Resorts World Sentosa has been officially opened on 14th Feb 2010 and is the first casino opened in Singapore.

Before visiting the casino, below are some important notes.

At Basement 1 between Hotel Michael and Festive Hotel

How To Get There:

You may EITHER,

1. Board RWS8 bus services direct OR,
2. Take Sentosa Express OR,
3. Drive there or take a cab OR,
4. Catch the coach service from Changi Airport or Budget Terminal

If you are going there by cab, simply drop off at the taxi drop-off point at festive grand. From there, you can find your way easily to the casino as it is rather nearby.

Casino Levy:
